     The Pousada Lado de Lá is the highest in Brazil at more than 1,900 meters in the Papagaio mountain range. It offers panoramic views as well as 2 million square meters of nature reserve in an ecosystem that is Andean in nature.
     There are numerous trails that lead to mountain tops, forests and lost valleys with crystal-clear streams, waterfalls, natural pools and canyons. The hotel is built in stone which is complemented by the candle lit illumination and rustic furnishings that are combined with oriental art. The exclusive charm and comfort of this region make it a unique place. Imagine falling asleep to the sound of waterfalls and springs and waking up above cloud level.

     As the area is quite isolated, it is easy to see wild animals such as seriemas (a type of Brazilian bird), foxes, jaguars, armadillos, tayras, penelopes, hares, and maned wolves, as well as different kinds of birds and hummingbirds.

     Meals are made on wood stove, which gives food a special taste and water is drinkable in all taps, fonts, and rivers because we are in its source.
     Feel renewed after a busy day of activities by taking a bath with mineral water, warmed by the stove and by the gas heater.
     Even in the winter, at zero degree, inside the lodge the environment is really comfortable.

     It is great to sleep peacefully having the waterfalls and fonts "singing" you a lullaby, and to wake up above the clouds. In the summer, the ideal, after a walk, is to take a waterfall shower in one of the many the lodge offers you, in its 6 kilometers of rivers waterfalls, natural pools, and canyons.

     There are 3 charming rooms for couples on the first floor and a common toilet for them. On the ground floor there is a stone bathroom with hot water, a dining room with a wood stove where the meals are served and a glass living room with a fireplace.
