Located in “Serra do Papagaio” (it means Parrot's House in Tupi Guarani language), in Aiuruoca - Minas Gerais state, over 1.900 meters of altitude, “Do Lado de Lá Eco Lodge” (Pousada Do Lado do La, in Portuguese), is situated in a typical ecosystem from Andes, with its birds, animals and distinctive flowers.

The lodge is in an area of scenic beauty with dozens of crystalline waterfalls, natural pools, showers, many canyons, trails with different difficulty levels, magic peaks, and lost valleys. There is plenty of options of tours and outdoor activities for nature lovers such as rappelling, horse racing, climbing, mountaineering, motorcycling, mountain biking, off-road, trekking, hiking, bird-watching, paragliding, canyoning (or canyoneering) and photographic tourism, plus esoteric tourism, astronomy, ufology, etc.
As the area is quite isolated, it is easy to see wild animals such as seriemas (a type of Brazilian bird), foxes, jaguars, armadillos, tayras, penelopes, hares, and maned wolves, as well as different kinds of birds and hummingbirds.
By combining with this privileged place, the lodge offers the necessary comfort for you to enjoy your stay.

Meals are made on wood stove, which gives food a special taste and water is drinkable in all taps, fonts, and rivers because we are in its source.
Feel renewed after a busy day of activities by taking a bath with mineral water, warmed by the stove and by the gas heater.
Even in the winter, at zero degree, inside the lodge the environment is really comfortable.
It is great to sleep peacefully having the waterfalls and fonts "singing" you a lullaby, and to wake up above the clouds. In the summer, the ideal, after a walk, is to take a waterfall shower in one of the many the lodge offers you, in its 6 kilometers of rivers waterfalls, natural pools, and canyons.
There are 3 charming rooms for couples on the first floor and a common toilet for them. On the ground floor there is a stone bathroom with hot water, a dining room with a wood stove where the meals are served and a glass living room with a fireplace.
